Students and community members in Minnetonka celebrated the Lunar New Year in late January, welcoming the Year of the Snake.
Wade Salvey from Scenic Heights Elementary won the spelling bee with the word "toorie". He will represent the Twin Cities in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May.
The Minnetonka School Board approved putting an $85M building bond referendum on the ballot in November— it's been 29 years.
