Monroe Elementary School

Monroe Elementary School is located at 312 E. Donmoyer Ave in South Bend within an urban residential neighbourhood served by the South Bend Community School Corporation. They serve students from grades K-5 and enrolls approximately 450 students with a student-teacher ratio of 12:1. In math, 13% of students reached the proficient level or higher, while in reading, 9% achieved that level or above. The student population is made up of 47% female students and 53% male students. Monroe?????????? Elementary provides a respectful and caring environment in which the teachers are dedicated to the academic and social-emotional growth of every child.

One of the major points is their decision to introduce a gifted & talented program and the Project Lead The Way STEM curriculum, which is getting the students involved and exciting them for the future, much earlier than most other schools.
