About Lincoln Elementary School

Lincoln Elementary School is a public K–5 school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that serves families in the Fort Wayne Community Schools district. The school has about 350 to 400 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 15 to 1, which helps with focused teaching in the early grades. Lincoln Elementary School focuses on helping students become good at reading, writing, math, and learning with technology. Students also take part in enrichment programs that include art, music, physical education, and age-appropriate STEM activities that help them grow in all areas.

The school has a lot of different kinds of students, and a lot of them identify as part of a minority group. This makes the learning environment more welcoming. The district's spending per student is about the same as the average for Indiana. This money goes toward academic programs, student services, and support programs. The school is in a well-established city neighborhood where housing is still affordable and families can easily get to parks and other community resources.

Lincoln Elementary School is a good place for students to learn because it has a supportive academic environment, consistent teaching methods, and ongoing efforts to help all students grow in all subjects.

Latest News

The latest news of Lincoln Elementry school is families, staff, and community volunteers helped Lincoln Elementary School in Fort Wayne finish the redesign of its Outdoor Learning Garden in early spring. The school recently held a celebration to mark the opening of the garden. The new space has raised garden beds, native plants, a small habitat for pollinators, and places to sit where teachers can teach outside. Students helped get the soil ready, put labels on the plants, and make signs that explain each part of the garden. This made the launch a hands-on learning experience.

Teachers say that the garden is already being used for science lessons, activities that involve looking at things, and quiet reading time. The project also wants to help younger students learn more about the environment and how to work together. Families who came to the ribbon-cutting said good things about the space, saying that it gives students a meaningful way to connect with nature during the school day.
