The Norfeldt School is a public elementary school in West Hartford, Connecticut, for kids in grades K–5. There are about 355 students and 12 teachers for every one student. As part of its Vision Zero safety program, West Hartford finished putting in raised crosswalks near four school zones, including Norfeldt Elementary, on August 20, 2025. These raised crosswalks help slow down traffic and make it easier for pedestrians to see, which makes it safer for students to arrive and leave school.

Ans. Yes, students who meet the requirements can join the district's gifted and talented program, which helps them get better at math, reading, and thinking critically.
Q2: What does Norfeldt do to help students who are learning English as a second language (ELL)?
Ans. The school helps students get better at reading, writing, and speaking English by giving them targeted ELL lessons, small-group help, and bilingual materials.
Q3. Do kids in elementary school do things outside of school?
Ans. Yes, Norfeldt has clubs, arts, music, STEM activities, and seasonal enrichment programs that help kids learn new things, work together, and be creative.
