Duffy School is a public K–5 elementary school in West Hartford, Connecticut. It has about 504 students and a student–teacher ratio of about 13:1. The school has great academic programs, including ones for gifted students, and about 67–68% of students are proficient in math and reading. This makes it one of the best elementary schools in West Hartford and one of the best in Connecticut. The school has a moderately diverse student body, with about 25% of students being Hispanic or Asian. Duffy stresses a culture of support and inclusion, active family involvement, and chances for enrichment, all of which help all students do well in school and grow socially and emotionally.

The Board of Education in West Hartford just approved a plan for capital improvements that includes big changes to the quality of the air inside. Duffy Elementary will get new HVAC systems as part of the plan.
As part of the town's Vision Zero road safety program, the city has also put in new Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and raised crosswalks near school zones, including places where students walk to Duffy, to slow down traffic and make it safer for people to cross the street.
