The Board of Education in West Hartford just approved a plan for capital improvements that includes big changes to the quality of the air inside. Duffy Elementary will get new HVAC systems as part of the plan.

As part of the town's Vision Zero road safety program, the city has also put in new Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and raised crosswalks near school zones, including places where students walk to Duffy, to slow down traffic and make it safer for people to cross the street.
