City officials recently approved a $3.6 million rooftop solar panel project that will include Wendell Cross and four other Waterbury schools. The goal of the project is to put solar panels on the school's roof. This will help make clean energy and save money in the long run.

Ans. Yes, Wendell L. Cross offers Pre-K and early reading programs to help kids learn the basic skills they need to read and write.
Q2. Are there chances for students to do STEM activities?
Ans. Yes, the school has STEM clubs, robotics workshops, and science experiments that students can do themselves to get them interested in science and technology.
Q3. How does the school get families involved in their children's education?
Ans.Families can stay in touch with their kids' progress by going to family engagement nights, workshops, and school events.
Q4. Are there music and arts programs at the school?
Ans. Yes, students can take part in music, visual arts, and performance programs as part of their extra and elective activities.
Q5. Are there programs for mentoring or peer support?
Ans. Yes, Wendell L. Cross has peer mentoring programs where older students help younger students with their social and academic lives.
