Stanley G. Oswalt Academy is located at 19501 Shadow Oak Drive in the Walnut area. It serves 915 students in grades K–8. The student–teacher ratio is 25:1. Math proficiency is 51% and reading proficiency is 68%. The gender mix is 50% male and 50% female. The environment is set up to help students grow socially and academically at a steady pace. Faculty members put a lot of value on treating all students fairly and consistently. The campus is a quiet, focused place for learning in the neighborhood. Students learn better when there are fewer people in their classes. The way the school is set up makes it easy to keep an eye on everyone and keep them safe. Staff members are committed to making a daily routine that is helpful and easy to follow. The library and other shared spaces are used to encourage a love of reading and research. Most houses in the area cost between $850,000 and $1,350,000. Parents are very sure that the campus is safe and secure. A lot of families like how dedicated the long-term teachers are. People often say that being able to talk about how students are doing is a big plus. This is one of the best elementary schools in California.
