Turner, the school's resource officer, recently showed how dedicated he is by checking on students in the neighborhood and even having a snowball fight with them. This fun event shows how close the school and the community are. The California School Boards Association gave the Visalia Unified School District a Golden Bell Award for its creative Blended and Non-Blended Universal Transitional Kindergarten Program.
