Los Angeles, California, is a big city, and Roscomare Road Elementary is a public elementary school there. The Los Angeles Unified School District includes it. There are 424 students in grades K–5 at the school, and 19 full-time teachers. This means that there is one teacher for every 22 students. Roscomare Road Elementary does much better in school than the average school in the state. U.S. News says that about 82% of students are good at math and 87% are good at English Language Arts (reading). The school puts a lot of emphasis on a well-rounded curriculum that includes core subjects, enrichment activities, and basic skills that will help students get ready for college and work. There are some differences among the students: half are girls and half are boys. About 11% of students are thought to be poor, which is lower than the average for many schools in the district. The amount of money spent on each student at each school is not made public, but it is in line with what LAUSD usually gives out. Most people know that Roscomare Road Elementary has a steady number of students, good grades, and a community that supports learning.
