The Fremont Unified School District runs J. Haley Durham Elementary School, which is a public elementary school in Fremont, California. The school has about 600 to 650 students and serves kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. The student-to-teacher ratio is about 26:1, which means that classrooms are big enough to give each student the attention they need while still allowing them to work together. English language arts and math are the main subjects taught at the school, but there are also science, social studies, physical education, and enrichment activities. According to U.S. News, about 69% of students are good at math and 72% are good at reading. This shows that they are doing well in school but could still do better. Most of the students at J. Haley Durham Elementary come from minority backgrounds, which reflects the multicultural community of Fremont. The school is in a neighborhood that is good for families, which helps the school get involved in the community and create a positive school culture.
