Woods (Harold L.) Elementary is a public K–6 school in Clovis, California, with about 680 students and a student–teacher ratio of about 24:1. Woods (Harold L.) Elementary focuses on strong core instruction in reading, writing, and math, as well as keeping students interested and learning in a structured way. The school has a diverse group of students that reflects the family-oriented and education-focused community of Clovis. Woods (Harold L.) Elementary School has very good academic results. Seventy-two percent of students are proficient in math and seventy-seven percent are proficient in reading. These results show that students do well in school and get good help with their lessons at all grade levels. Programs focus on mastering skills, getting help from teachers, and learning together. Woods (Harold L.) Elementary is in a neighborhood with schools that do very well on tests. The school consistently shows good academic progress and has a lot of potential for student success, making it one of the best schools in California.
