Spreckels Elementary, part of the San Diego Unified School District, teaches kids from kindergarten to 5th grade. Besides the usual subjects to meet state rules, they also have Spanish, music, art, and gym. These classes help kids get smarter and more creative. There are also programs to help with library skills, being a leader, and working with classmates. The school has around 650 students, with one teacher for every 26 kids, which is normal for California public schools. The students are pretty diverse, with about half being Hispanic, White, Asian, or mixed. About 64% of students are doing well in math, and 65% are doing well in reading and writing. The school gets about the same amount of money per student as other districts. This money goes to help students, pay for classes, and provide cool programs. Overall, the school demonstrates balanced academic outcomes, diverse programs, and a nurturing learning environment.

Being Updated
Spreckels Elementary just unveiled its new mural in the style of Chicano Park. All the kids from kindergarten to 5th grade worked on it together. This cool piece of art shows how much the school cares about culture and local history. It also shows off the students' creative side in a way that everyone can enjoy.
Along with the mural, students at Spreckels Elementary are signing up for summer learning programs. These programs keep kids busy and social during the break with fun activities like sports, reading, arts, and science.
Parents and school staff really want the community to get involved and support our schools. They say it's very important to keep spending money on new ideas for the classroom, resources, and fun things to do.
In short, all of this shows that Spreckels Elementary is a great place for kids to be creative, learn all year long, and be part of a great community.
