Rolando Park Elementary is a public elementary school in San Diego, California. It is part of the San Diego Unified School District and serves students in grades K–5. The school has about 450 to 500 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 20:1. This allows for structured classroom instruction with one-on-one attention. Rolando Park Elementary has a standards-based academic program that focuses on developing reading and writing skills, teaching math, and teaching social and emotional skills. The school also offers enrichment activities and intervention support to meet the needs of all of its students. Data from USA News shows that about 57% of students are good at math and 62% are good at reading and ELA. This shows that their academic performance is steady compared to district benchmarks. Being Updated
Rolando Park Elementary just got a cool new outdoor learning spot to get kids more involved and learning by doing. It's got garden beds, places to sit, and spots for projects. Kids can do science stuff, check out nature, and chat in small groups outside. Teachers are saying the kids are way more stoked about science and group projects now.
Plus, Rolando Park had a family night all about being healthy and reading. Families did fun reading activities, fitness stuff, and talked to teachers about how to help kids learn at home.
Parents and teachers are saying that the outdoor space and family nights are helping bring everyone together and helping the kids grow. All this shows how Rolando Park Elementary is focusing on getting kids involved, getting the community in on things, and making sure kids are doing well this school year.
