Pacific Beach Elementary is a public school in San Diego, California, that serves students in kindergarten through 5th grade. It is part of the San Diego Unified School District. The school has about 450 to 500 students and a student-teacher ratio of about 24:1. This allows for structured classroom instruction and consistent teacher involvement. Pacific Beach Elementary has a standards-based academic program that focuses on reading, writing, math, and critical thinking. Science, art, and physical education enrichment activities add to what students learn in the classroom. Technology is also used to help teach students of all ages. The student body is made up of a wide range of people, with a small number of students from different cultural backgrounds. According to data from USA News, about 57% of students are good at math and 67% are good at reading. This shows that they are doing well in school, especially in English language arts. As a public school, the money it gets and the money it spends on each student follow the rules set by the district and the state.

Being Updated
Pacific Beach Elementary got a really nice donation from the community to help out with student programs and stuff for the classroom. Back in December 2025, a local group gave over $27,000 to Pacific Beach Elementary and other nearby public schools. The idea is that this money will help make the learning materials better, make the after-school programs cooler, and get families more involved.
The school had a little celebration with everyone to show how awesome it is when the community and the school work together to make learning better and make the school a better place. The teachers said that they can now get some fresh stuff for the classrooms, do more hands-on projects, and back programs that help kids be creative and think for themselves. This donation shows how tight Pacific Beach Elementary is with the community and how dedicated they are to giving kids a great education.
