Being Updated
There???????????????? is a major decision being made by the district about Audubon K–8 School that families and teachers from all over San Diego are watching very closely. The San Diego Unified School District is going to phase out the middle school grades (6–8) at some K–8 campuses, like Audubon, from the 2026–27 school year. According to the plan, the students in the middle school at Audubon would be transferred to nearby middle schools that have only middle school students.
Parents and the community have expressed their concerns about the decision and have raised their voices because they feel the relationships and the stability which are the benefits of being on the same campus from elementary school to middle school are lost.
On the other hand, district officials maintain that the change would be beneficial for education in general and they emphasize the potential advantages that come with offering more middle school ????????????????classes.
