Students from Jones Elementary were recently celebrated for their academic excellence as competitors in the district’s First Annual Elementary Latino History Bee held in mid-November 2025. The school is also adjacent to the newly opened Páxam Páxam Welcome Center, a 2025 district achievement designed to provide comprehensive support services directly to neighborhood families.
Q1. What is the Latino History Bee?
Ans. It is a district academic competition where Jones students recently competed to showcase knowledge of cultural heritage.
Q2. What is the nearby Welcome Center?
Ans. The Páxam Páxam Welcome Center opened in late 2025 to provide neighborhood families with enrollment and social services.
Q3. Does the school offer bilingual support?
Ans. Yes, the campus features a Dual Immersion program designed to develop biliteracy in English and Spanish for all students.
Q4. What is the focus of 2025 student wellness?
Ans. The school utilizes new sensory rooms and social-emotional learning curricula to support student mental health and resilience.
Q5. Are there after-school options?
Ans. The CAPS program provides free academic enrichment, STEM activities, and nutritional snacks until 6:00 p.m. daily.
