Being Updated
Two District Schools announced their partnership to support their family literacy projects on December 18, 2025. The intent of this initiative is to provide families with resources that empower them as successfully as possible. Families will receive free books, parents will participate in educational sessions about literacy, and classrooms will give students opportunities to read together collaboratively through "Reading Challenges". Teachers report increased student engagement in the classroom and significant increases in the amount of literature being read by students. The literacy support provided has not only helped parents develop comprehension skills for their children, but to also use as guideposts in their children's literacy development.
