We value the character of our students by teaching them respect, equality, and leadership. Our teachers and staff are often recognized for their ability to develop and demonstrate compassion and consistency while providing excellent support and encouragement to our students. Also teachers earned numerous commendations from parents for their caring, responsive, and ongoing communication regarding their children. Parents value and appreciate the balance of developing character along with helping their kids be successful academically.

Dr Martin Luther King Jr Academy held on 16-01-2026, its Whole School Assembly to highlight and celebrate the legacy of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. through performances (by students) including speeches, paintings and music reflecting the themes of equality, service and leadership. Teachers facilitated discussions with their students regarding the connection between Dr Martin Luther King Jr's philosophy and how students must embody those traits in the manner in which they interact with one another. Parents have responded positively regarding the value these activities added to their children's education. The examples above reflect the importance of Dr Martin Luther King Jr's vision in the raising of compassionate leaders and responsible members of the community.
