There is a student–teacher ratio of 26:1. Math proficiency is 31%. Reading proficiency is 43%. The gender mix is 50% male and 50% female. There is a strong sense of local pride and a spirit of cooperation in the school. Teachers work hard to make sure that their students become thoughtful and helpful members of the global community. The small size of the campus makes for a very close-knit environment where every child is cared for. Outdoor areas are used to make science and environmental lessons more interesting and relevant to the coastal setting. Prices for homes in the area range from $800,000 to $1,500,000. Parents are very happy with the family-like atmosphere and the high level of care for each child. Many families like how close the neighborhood is and how often there are community events on campus. People praise the teachers for being able to get students excited about learning by using creative and hands-on lessons. This is one of the best elementary schools in California.

People have said nice things about South Oceanside Elementary's "Seahawk Spirit." Recent events in the community have raised money so that students can do more activities outside of school. People praised the school for keeping a very positive and fair environment, which helped it become known as a safe place to learn. Students have also done very well in local contests for creative arts and sustainability, which shows that they are talented global citizens who want to help.

Ans. The school uses its location on the coast to teach marine science and environmental conservation to students of all ages.

Ans. To encourage safety and health, the community often gets groups of students and parents to walk to school together.

Ans. After-school language clubs aren't a regular part of the day, but they do happen sometimes when parents are available to help out.
