Stockdale Elementary is a public school in Bakersfield, California, that is part of the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District and teaches students in grades K–6. There are about 500 to 550 students at the school, and the student-teacher ratio is about 22 to 1, which is about average for the district. This helps students get to know each other better in class. Stockdale Elementary values English Language Arts and Math highly, as well as science enrichment, technology integration, and character education. The school teaches English learners and gives targeted academic help to students who need it. The school has a lot of different kinds of students. Over 40–45% of them are minorities, and they come from Hispanic, White, Asian, and other groups. USA News says that about 55–60% of students are good enough at English Language Arts and about 50–55% are good enough at Math. In general, they do better than a lot of other schools in the area. The amount of money spent on each student is in line with how much money California public schools and districts get. The neighborhood around Stockdale Elementary is well-established and has homes with median values that are higher than average. There is a lot of family involvement, and the school is a good place to be. In general, the school has good grades all the time and is still a good place for students to do well and get involved in the community.
