Project ADAM and Arkansas Children's Hospital recently named Root Elementary a "Heart Safe School." This honor shows that the school is ready and dedicated to keeping students and staff safe and healthy.
The Arkansas Department of Education also gave Fayetteville Public Schools (FPS), the larger district, an overall "A" grade under the 2024–25 statewide accountability system. Root Elementary got a "A" on the most recent individual school letter grades, which means that the new grading system is working well for students.
