Forest Heights STEM Academy is a public elementary school in Little Rock, Arkansas, for kids in grades K–5. There are about 500 to 550 students at the school, and there is one teacher for every 15 students. This lets teachers focus on each student and help them with their specific needs. The Forest Heights STEM Academy is mostly about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), but it also has a strong base in reading, writing, and the arts. There are students from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds at the school. The school wants everyone to be aware of and accept other cultures. 53% of students are good at math and 60% are good at reading, which means they are making steady progress in their studies. The amount of money each student gets is the same as what local public schools get, and it helps pay for technology, classroom supplies, and enrichment programs. Because Forest Heights STEM Academy is in a residential area, parents and the community are very involved.
