Highlawn Elementary ended the 2024–25 school year with a fun celebration that included an award ceremony and inflatable obstacle course fun in the gym. This is a tradition that students look forward to every year, especially when the weather forces the activity inside.
Q1. What kinds of activities outside of school does Highlawn Elementary School have?
Ans. Highlawn has art, music, physical education, seasonal clubs, and after-school programs that get students involved outside of schoolwork.
Q2. Does Highlawn Elementary help students who need extra help?
Ans. Yes, the school has staff who work with kids who need extra help, individualized education plans (IEPs), and services like speech and occupational therapy to help kids with different learning needs.
Q3. How can parents help out at Highlawn Elementary School?
Ans. Parents can help their kids learn and support school programs by joining the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), volunteering, going to school events, and going to parent-teacher conferences.
Q4. Are there tech resources for students?
Ans. Yes, Highlawn has computers, tablets, and educational software in the classroom to help students learn more about technology and help them learn in all subjects.
Q5. Does Highlawn Elementary serve lunch and dinner?
Ans. Yes, students can get breakfast and lunch, and some families can get free or low-cost meals.
