Fairmont, West Virginia, is home to East Park Elementary School, a public school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. The school has about 300–320 students and a student–teacher ratio of 14:1. This means that the class sizes are small enough to give each student individual attention in early learning. East Park Elementary teaches reading, math, and language arts as part of its core curriculum. It also helps young children grow and develop through its Pre-K program. About 12% of the students at the school are from minority groups, which is in line with the diversity levels in the state. The school says that 52% of its students are good at math and 42% are good at reading. These numbers are close to or higher than the state averages. These results show that students are making steady progress in basic academic areas. The school gets money from the district that helps pay for classroom instruction and student services, but it doesn't say how much money is spent on each student. Fairmont is in a suburban area and has a stable environment with families that are involved and a low cost of living.
New Playground Name
