Wood-Gormley Elementary School is a public school in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for kids in grades K–5. There are about 375 students at the school, and there is one teacher for every 14 students. This means that teachers can pay more attention to each student and work with them more closely. The school focuses on the basics, such as reading, writing, math, and science. It also offers enrichment programs in music, art, and physical education. Wood-Gormley Elementary uses differentiated instruction and support services to meet the needs of all of its students, including English language learners and those who need special education. There are a lot of different types of students, but most of them are Hispanic. There are also people of other races and ethnicities, such as White, Native American, and others. According to USA News, students in schools with mixed-income communities don't do as well in Math and English Language Arts as the state average. The amount of money each student gets is the same as the district's average and helps pay for teaching and extra activities. People in the community know that Wood-Gormley Elementary is a great place for kids to learn because it is dedicated to helping them with their studies and making everyone feel welcome. Students can always find ways to do better.
