Ranked 150 of 275 in NEW MEXICO
See top schools in SANTA FEThere is a public elementary school in Santa Fe, New Mexico called Chaparral Elementary. It is a part of the Santa Fe Public Schools district and teaches kids from pre-K to fifth grade. The school has about 350 to 400 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 15:1, which means that each student gets a lot of individual attention and help. Chaparral Elementary teaches the basics of reading, writing, math, and science, but it also teaches arts, culture, and social-emotional skills to help students grow in all areas. The student body is made up of people from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds, but most of them are Hispanic or Latino. Students usually do well in math and English language arts, which is about the same as the district average. Programs that help students and give them extra opportunities do this. The district's spending per student goes toward things like teaching in the classroom, technology, and services that help students. The area around Chaparral Elementary is good for families and has homes that are worth a fair amount. The school is better off because of the parents and the community. People generally like the school because it is open to all students, focuses on academic growth, and encourages students to be creative and learn about other cultures.
