Dundee Elementary School planted four new trees on campus in October 2025 through the Trees for Nebraska Towns Initiative. Students and parents participated in the planting effort.
Q1. What does Dundee do to help kids read in a balanced way?
Ans. Students use OPS literacy frameworks to do guided reading, shared reading, and independent practice.
Q2. What does the school do to teach basic civics?
Ans. Dundee teaches civics topics that are appropriate for each grade level, like rules, fairness, and community responsibility, through OPS social studies units.
Q3. What activities help students learn about basic physics?
Ans. Students learn about motion, force, and balance through hands-on experiments that are in line with the district's science curriculum.
Q4. What does Dundee do to promote reflective learning?
Ans. Teachers use reflections at the end of lessons, goal reviews, and discussions with students to help them understand how they are doing in school.
Q5. What routines help students find their way around the classroom?
Ans. Students use book bins, supply centers, and station rotation in an organized way so that materials are used responsibly.
