In 2024–25, Hawkins Elementary SMART School added more hands-on STEM activities and digital learning projects. Students in higher grades learned the basics of coding and robotics, while students in lower grades practiced math and reading on tablets and with interactive software. The school held a STEM night for the community to show off student work and connect families with local businesses.
