Being Updated
In late 2025, Evangeline Elementary had a classroom project funded through DonorsChoose, helping support supplies and resources for students in need. In January 2025, the school came under public scrutiny after a 4-year-old student was reportedly left outside without a jacket during near-freezing weather following a dress-code enforcement incident. The story received media coverage and led the school and district to revise dismissal procedures to prevent similar issues.
