Buckner Performing Arts Magnet Elementary School received a brand-new BBQ grill donated by Glena Irving and Darryl Carr on behalf of Home Depot. The grill will be used to support future Family Engagement events and school community gatherings.
Q1. How does Buckner use the performing arts to help students learn?
Ans. Buckner provides students chances to learn music, drama, and movement, which helps them become more confident, creative, and adept at talking to others.
Q2. What rules do students at Buckner have to follow?
Ans. The school stresses respect, responsibility, and cooperation, which are all things that are taught during rehearsals, performances, and class time.
Q3. How does Buckner keep families informed?
Ans. Parents get newsletters, updates on the arts program, and messages from teachers that include reminders, information about events, and performance dates.
Q4. How can families get involved with the performing arts magnet?
Ans. Parents can help with costumes and sets, volunteer for productions, and go to events that show off their child's talent.
Q5. What does Buckner do to help students stay healthy?
Ans. The school teaches SEL skills like how to manage emotions, work as a team, and bounce back from setbacks. Counselors are there to help when needed.
