The Village Leadership Academy recently tried out a "Student Leadership Council," which is a group of older elementary school students who meet once a month to talk about how to make the school better, plan events, and speak for their classmates. The council lets kids have a say in school decisions, teaches them how to be leaders, and encourages them to be responsible.
