Sunnyside Elementary recently reached a big goal: they opened a brand-new playground on campus with a modern jungle gym, balance beams, a slide, and a "gaga ball" pit. The playground was built with the help of a dedicated fundraising campaign that raised more than $47,000. The active parent-teacher organization (PTO), generous local donors, and support from the district all helped.
