About the Innovator

I used a sensor to create reactions based on values. When the sensor reads between 300 and 600, the Micro:bit shows a fun dance sequence with some music. When the sensor reads above 600 up to 1,000, it displays sad or sleepy faces, an “X,” and a ghost, along with different music. This project teaches how sensors can detect numbers and trigger different animations and sounds. I had fun programming the Micro:bit and seeing the patterns change according to the sensor readings.

I created a sensor-based interactive display using the Micro:bit.

My project works by reading values from a sensor and responding with different outputs. When the sensor value is between 300 and 600, the Micro:bit shows a dance animation, followed by music. This represents a happy or active state. If the sensor value rises above 600 and goes up to 1,000, the display shows sad or sleepy faces, an “X,” and even a ghost, along with another type of music. This shows a different mood based on sensor input.

Through this project, I learned how to use sensor values to control what happens on the Micro:bit. I used conditional statements to make the Micro:bit decide what animation or music to play depending on the sensor reading. This project also taught me how to combine logic, creativity, and coding to make an interactive experience.

I enjoyed testing the sensor and watching the animations change as the numbers varied. Even though there were some small issues with music playback during my presentation, I understood the patterns and how to fix them in the future. Overall, this project was a fun way to explore programming, electronics, and how sensors can interact with humans and machines. It was exciting to see my code come alive on the Micro:bit.
