Chloe's created a cheerful and festive project called "Holiday Vibes" using a Micro:bit. This project brings the holiday spirit to life by playing Christmas and Thanksgiving melodies at the touch of a button. The Micro:bit stores and executes the tunes, with a buzzer or speaker connected to produce the music. When Button A is pressed, a joyful Christmas melody plays, and pressing Button B triggers a Thanksgiving tune. Using the built-in music module, this project is an entertaining way to celebrate the holidays with just a few lines of code, spreading cheer and making the festive season more delightful.
I created a cheerful project called “Holiday Vibes” using a Micro:bit. This project brings the festive spirit to life by playing Christmas music or Thanksgiving melodies at the touch of a button. It’s a creative way to celebrate the holidays and explore how programming can bring fun to everyday activities.
For this project, I used a Micro:bit as the main component to store and execute the melodies. A buzzer or speaker was connected to the Micro:bit for playing the music. Additionally, a USB cable allowed me to program the Micro:bit and power it.
Here’s how it works: The Micro:bit is programmed with two holiday-themed tunes using its built-in music module. When Button A is pressed, the device plays a joyful Christmas melody, while pressing Button B plays a festive tune for Thanksgiving. Each button press triggers a corresponding set of musical notes, which are then sent as signals to the connected buzzer to generate the sounds. This project is a simple yet exciting way to get into the holiday mood with just a few lines of code and some creative thinking. It’s sure to spread cheer and bring smiles to anyone who hears it!
