About Rebecca Claster
Rebecca Claster founded Claster Educational Services in 2014 to guide students and families confidently through college admissions. She helps students develop qualifications colleges seek and identify best-fit schools beyond rankings. Her Washington DC-based practice serves clients nationwide via video conferencing. Services span coursework advising, test planning, campus visits, financial aid, applications, essays, and gap year planning.
Since 2015, Rebecca has served as the founding College Counselor at Templeton Academy DC. She works with students throughout high school on college preparation, search, and applications. She also coordinated service-learning programs from 2018 to 2020. Her approach emphasizes academic, social, and personal fit for long-term student success.
Rebecca brings 8 years of Princeton Review test prep experience teaching SAT, PSAT, LSAT, GMAT, and GRE. Her 17 years in the federal government included Legislative Director for Congressman Henry Waxman, overseeing education policy, and Deputy Director of Government Relations at CNCS, advocating for AmeriCorps.
