About Margaret Rothe
Margaret Rothe holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut's NEAG School of Education, providing her with academic training to navigate today's complex higher education landscape. She serves as a student advocate and parent ally with the ultimate goal of developing cohesive presentations of student candidates to schools that match family criteria, student potential and future opportunity. Her advice comes from knowledge, experience and compassion as an educator truly invested in each student's success. Margaret brings the seasoning necessary to guide young adults through the many choices facing them in higher education.
Margaret has extensive faculty experience teaching Campus Resident Leadership, College First Year Experience, Everything Good About You (EGAY), Women's Forum at San Francisco State University from 2004-2007, Tri-School FIRST Robotics from 2013-2016, College Admissions and Essay Courses through Berkeley Extension in 2014, and serving on the Judicial Board at Nichols College in 2004. She participated in the Judicial Hearing Institute at Brandeis University in June 2004 and taught Jeanne Clery Campus Compliance at SFSU in 2005. Her comprehensive background spans residence life leadership, first-year experience programming, robotics education, essay coaching and compliance training.
Margaret earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Richmond College, International University in the UK in 1994 and has received numerous professional recognitions including EdTech Digest Awards for Visionary 2023 and Innovation for Access 2022, WACUHO Distinguished Service Award WTI 2009, Contributions to Campus Affairs 2009, Bridge Builder Award 2007, Kate Humphries Resident Director of the Year 2005, Standout Award from NCAA Diversity Education Leaders 2004, and Annual Residence Life Awards from Richmond College 1992-1994. Her awards reflect excellence in student affairs, diversity leadership, innovative educational technology and residence life administration.
