About Luangchee Xiong

Luangchee Xiong is a dedicated education leader focused on empowering student futures and championing student success, particularly for underserved and first-generation college-bound students. Currently serving as Regional Director of Post Secondary Pathways for Aspire Public Schools, Luangchee oversees comprehensive programs and strategies that support students in planning for, applying to, and succeeding in college and career opportunities. In this role, she collaborates with school leaders, counselors, and community partners to design and implement systems that ensure students across the region have access to high-quality college counseling, post-secondary planning, and ongoing support as they transition beyond high school.

Before stepping into regional leadership, Luangchee spent nine years as an academic and college counselor at Aspire Langston Hughes Academy in Stockton, California, where she worked directly with students on academic planning, college applications, financial aid, career exploration, and personal development. She also served as Regional Lead Academic and College Counselor and Regional Alternative Education Programs Coordinator, roles that allowed her to support multiple school sites, coordinate alternative pathways for students facing barriers to traditional graduation, and expand access to college readiness resources across the network. Her commitment to equity and student-centered practice is evident in her long tenure with Aspire Public Schools, where she has also led after-school programs and served as an educator and assistant director.

Luangchee holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from California State University, Stanislaus, a Master of Science in Educational Counseling with Pupil Personnel Services credentials from the University of La Verne, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology and a minor in Sociology, also from CSU Stanislaus. Her educational background and professional experience reflect a deep understanding of student development, counseling best practices, and the systemic changes needed to ensure all students, especially those from marginalized communities, have pathways to post-secondary success.
