Felicia Fahey

Felicia Fahey is CEO of Fahey Associates, a bespoke college counseling company headquartered in the Bay Area that she has led since January 2018. Fahey Associates brings together capable and independent advisors who are excited to push their own skills in the pursuit of guiding youth to develop their potential in high school and in preparation for college. The company is seeking to grow regionally throughout California and across the United States, with a focus on providing students with a personally transformative experience of preparing for and carrying out the college application process. Under her leadership, Fahey Associates emphasizes personalized guidance that helps students develop their full potential during the high school years while preparing strategically for college admissions.

Felicia founded Felicia Fahey College Consulting in January 2007 and has worked as a consultant since September 2007, providing comprehensive college admissions consulting services for nearly two decades. She provides consulting in college planning and preparation, extracurriculars, summer activities, college admissions essays, building sound college lists, letters of appeal and letters of renewed interest for waitlisted students. She consults privately while also running seminars and workshops to reach broader audiences of students and families. Her approach emphasizes the transformative potential of the college application process as an opportunity for student growth and self-discovery rather than simply a transactional exercise.

Before launching her college consulting practice, Felicia served as Assistant Professor at Bates College from 2001 to 2007, where she taught Latin American and US Latino literature and film, autobiography and Spanish. She holds a PhD in Latin American Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature with a focus on Spanish, English, German and Latin from the University of California, Berkeley. Her academic background in literature, cultural studies and multilingual education informs her approach to essay coaching and helping students craft compelling narratives in their college applications. She is fluent in Spanish and German, allowing her to serve multilingual families and students with international backgrounds.
