About Beth Goode

Beth Goode is an accomplished education professional and operations executive with extensive experience in college counseling, organizational leadership, and student development. Currently serving as the Associate Director of College Counseling at Sacred Heart Preparatory in Atherton, California, since February 2022, she manages a caseload of approximately 70 students annually in grades 11 and 12. She guides families through the entire college research and application process, including financial aid navigation, essay development, and course selection advice, while also teaching regular college counseling classes. Beth also served as a Seasonal Admission Reader for Stanford University from October 2021 to February 2022, evaluating freshman applications through a holistic review process.

Before her pivot to college counseling, Beth had a distinguished 21-year career in athletics administration at Stanford University. As Executive Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator (2006–2021), she was a key member of the executive team leading a 36-sport Division I program. She oversaw strategy, budgeting, and operations for 11 varsity programs, directed student-athlete support services, and managed Title IX compliance. Her earlier roles at Stanford included Director of Athletic Compliance and Assistant Media Relations Director, where she managed media operations for the 1999 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four.

Beth holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University (2008) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies/Sports Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. She is a lifelong learner dedicated to servant-leadership, inclusion, and helping others achieve their highest potential.
