About Edmonson Montessori

Edmonson Montessori is a unique option among Elementary Schools in Michigan, providing a full Montessori education for Pre-K through 8th Grade in a public-school environment. We have small classes with a 14:1 student–teacher ratio, so every student gets individualized attention and hands-on learning experiences. Students are engaged in practical, hands-on learning in a defined school day with structured learning times. They flourish in a developmentally appropriate setting in which they learn independence, critical thinking, and creativity through; robotics, art, music, chess, basketball, and Girl Scouts. Culturally, overall academic proficiency rates are showing continued data and shifts in current and historical challenges. Edmonson Montessori continues to exceed many district schools, especially in early literacy, where 3rd graders regularly exceed the state averages. Edmonson continues to flourish as a meaningful educational option amid the variety and many Elementary Schools in Michigan.
