Recently, Robert M. Shoemaker High School was named a Capturing Kids' Hearts National Showcase School for the 2025–2026 school year. This award recognizes the school's outstanding work in creating a positive and relationship-focused campus culture. The school is also celebrating big student successes, like when senior scholars recently received a share of more than $100,000 in scholarships from the Killeen ISD Education Foundation to help pay for their college education. The Junior ROTC Greywolf Battalion also recently did a successful land navigation exercise, which gave cadets a chance to use their leadership and technical skills in a real-world setting.
