Walking up to Lincroft Elementary on Newman Springs Road, you get a sense this isn’t just a school but part of a long-standing neighborhood story. Families pull into the parking lot, wave at a crossing guard, smile at the same teacher they saw last year. Inside, the hallways carry art projects, student-made posters, and friendly reminders that this place values each kid, not just test scores. The school serves about 490 students in grades K-5, with a student–teacher ratio around 14:1 (so roughly one teacher for every fourteen students). When you look at academic outcomes, the state average for math proficiency in New Jersey is well above many parts of the country, and at Lincroft, about 68% of students meet or exceed proficiency in math.
Nearby elementary schools in the same district places like Fairview Elementary or New Monmouth Elementary—l share that strong academic reputation, but parents often say Lincroft’s strength lies in the blend: serious academics + a comfortable, connected community feel.
Housing near the school mirrors that quality. The Lincroft/Middletown Township area is known for good schools, safe streets and green spaces. A three-bedroom rental (or entry-level lease) in the vicinity commonly falls in a higher range for the region (reflecting the school’s demand) though exact current rental figures vary significantly depending on condition, exact street and amenities. As for alumni, while there’s no household-name graduate listed publicly, many past students remain part of the community working in the area, returning for events, volunteering in the school’s classroom projects. That kind of “students stay local” legacy gives the school a sense of rooted identity.

Being Updated
In October 2025 the school kicked off a “Global Cultures Week”, where each classroom explored a different country’s traditions, students swapped stories and foods with classmates, and one afternoon was dedicated to family-led workshops. The event wrapped up with a walk-through gallery in the gym showcasing student art, maps, and reflections from the week.
Q1. What kind of day-to-day feel does Lincroft Elementary have?
Ans. It’s steady and friendly. Teachers know many students from previous years, families feel familiar with each other, and the atmosphere leans more collaborative than competitive.
Q2. How do parents stay involved with the school?
Ans. There’s an active PTA, regular family nights (book-fairs, cultural nights), and the school encourages parents to volunteer in classrooms or help with after-school events.
Q3. What extra or special programs does the school offer?
Ans. Beyond the standard curriculum, you’ll find enrichment options (art, music, tech integrations) and projects where students present their work to families, helping build confidence and presentation skills.
