Shrish's Digital Compass project uses a Micro:bit and its built-in magnetometer to detect the Earth's magnetic field and display the direction in degrees on the LED screen. The compass provides real-time feedback, showing angles relative to magnetic north, making navigation simple. This project can be enhanced by adding directional arrows, GPS integration, or using it for robotics navigation and treasure hunts.
For my project, I created a Digital Compass using a Micro:bit. A digital compass is a fascinating device that uses sensors to measure the Earth's magnetic field and display the direction numerically. This project caught my interest because digital compasses are commonly found in watches and portable devices, and I wanted to explore how they work internally. It’s a simple yet powerful tool that can help in navigation without relying on traditional compasses.
