Oluwalonimi developed a simple security system with an Arduino UNO, buzzer, and LED to create a basic alarm. The setup allows for custom triggers, such as motion detection, to activate the alarm. This project can be adapted for home security, theft detection, and automated alerts, demonstrating the power of electronics in real-world applications.
In this project, I created a simple security system using an Arduino UNO, a buzzer, an LED, and a breadboard. The idea behind this project was to build a basic alarm system that could be triggered by a simple condition, such as motion detection or any type of trigger that you can customize.
For the setup, I connected the buzzer and LED to the Arduino UNO on the breadboard. The LED would indicate if the security system was activated or deactivated, while the buzzer would produce a loud sound to alert anyone nearby when the system was triggered.
To make the system function, I programmed the Arduino to read from an input device. It could be something as simple as a motion sensor or even a button that would act as the trigger for the alarm. Once the system is activated (by detecting a certain input like the press of a button), the LED would light up, and the buzzer would go off.
The key concept in this project was controlling the output devices (the buzzer and LED) through the inputs that were connected to the Arduino. The conditional programming ensures that the alarm only triggers under the right conditions, making it a functional and reliable security system for basic protection.
