Problem People want healthy gardens, but that takes some effort. Many people have to do a lot of work, so they don’t have a lot of time to water their plants and keep the pests away. But no matter what, If you have homework for a research project, or patients to help, your garden will grow fine, because it will be as easy as saying a command or pressing a button.  Idea Our idea is a robot that knows how to garden. It works by pressing a button or saying a command. You can make it a schedule like this:”7:05-Plant tomato seeds. 7:10-Water grapes. 11:30-Pick strawberries.” You can also make side notes like:”Cancel watering if raining.” or “If battery 10%, go to charge station.” Our customers are getting a robot that helps you do your garden jobs. Our customers should expect a robot that waters the plants and needs to be filled with water in a water tank. Customers should also expect an electric robot and will need to charge the robot. This robot can be told to do almost any garden job you want it to do. People want something to do their gardening for them, since they don’t have a lot of time to do so. Many people may be able to create something that can do garden jobs for them, but not as many as this. Solution Our Solution at Forever Green is to make robots to help with agriculture systems. These robots can be told what to do for the day like “Water the turnips.”, and “Scatter the peppermint leaves for pest repellent.” The primary objective of creating the Green Thumb Robot is to revolutionize urban gardening by providing a convenient and efficient solution for busy city dwellers. Here are the key objectives behind its development:
  1. Promote Urban Sustainability: By enabling individuals to cultivate green spaces in urban environments, the Green Thumb Robot contributes to the promotion of sustainability. Urban gardens help mitigate the urban heat island effect, improve air quality, and support local biodiversity.
  2. Empower Busy Individuals: Many city residents lead fast-paced lives with limited time for gardening. The objective is to empower busy individuals by offering a hands-off gardening solution that requires minimal time and effort while still yielding impressive results.
  3. Optimize Plant Health and Growth: The Green Thumb Robot aims to optimize plant health and growth by providing consistent care and monitoring. Its advanced sensors and precision tools ensure that plants receive the right amount of water, nutrients, and sunlight for optimal growth and productivity.
  4. Maximize Urban Green Spaces: With space at a premium in urban areas, the objective is to maximize the use of available green spaces. The Green Thumb Robot allows users to make the most of rooftops, balconies, and small outdoor areas by transforming them into lush and productive gardens.
  5. Enhance Access to Fresh Produce: Urban gardening promotes access to fresh, homegrown produce, which can contribute to improved nutrition and food security. The objective is to make it easier for urban residents to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and herbs, reducing reliance on store-bought produce.
  6. Encourage Connection with Nature: Gardening has numerous mental and emotional benefits, including stress relief, relaxation, and a sense of connection with nature. The objective is to encourage urban residents to reconnect with nature and experience the joys of gardening, even in a bustling city environment.
  7. Drive Innovation in Urban Agriculture: The development of the Green Thumb Robot represents an opportunity to drive innovation in urban agriculture and horticulture. By leveraging technology to address the unique challenges of urban gardening, the objective is to inspire further advancements in sustainable food production and urban green infrastructure.
