Hi, I’m Myra! I wanted to create something that made everyday tasks more fun and hygienic, so I built an automatic soap dispenser. My goal was to design a touchless solution that would make washing hands both easy and hygenic.

The magic of my dispenser lies in the coding. I wrote the program in Arduino, dividing it into parts like setting up libraries, defining sensor and servo pins, and writing the functions to make it all work seamlessly. The ultrasonic sensor detects when a hand is near, and that’s when the servo motor kicks in to release the perfect amount of soap.

Powering the entire system is an Arduino board, which serves as the brain of the operation. I connected everything using jumper wires and ensured it ran smoothly with a USB cable or battery pack. Watching it come to life felt incredible—just waving a hand near the dispenser triggers a fun and efficient way to stay clean.

My automatic soap dispenser is a small step toward promoting hygiene in a fun and practical way!
