Math Quiz
For Grade 6

Answer the below-given Math Questions.
To unlock a special gift at the end!!

Perimeter is the total length of all the sides of a shape. It is measured in linear units, such as centimeters, meters, inches, or feet.

This quiz will test your knowledge of perimeter, including:

1. Finding the perimeter of rectangles, squares, triangles, and other shapes

2. Using formulas to find the perimeter of shapes

3. Calculating the perimeter of composite shapes

Ready to get started? But before that let’s read a fun story.

Once upon a time, there was a young sixth-grader named Billy who was learning about perimeter in math class. Billy was a bright student, but he was struggling to understand the concept.

One day, after school, Billy was sitting in his room trying to do his math homework when he fell asleep. When he woke up, he found himself in a strange land.

Billy was surrounded by shapes of all sizes and colors. The shapes were talking and laughing, and they seemed to be very happy.

“Hello,” said Billy. “Where am I?”

“You are in the Perimeter Kingdom,” said a large square with a friendly smile. “I am King Perimeter. What brings you to my kingdom?”

“I’m here to learn about the perimeter,” said Billy. “But I’m having a hard time understanding it.”

  • Q-9
  • How many meters is the perimeter of a figure made up of a rectangle and an equilateral triangle, given that the width of the rectangle is half the length of the rectangle?

  • Q-10
  • The opposite coordinates of a shape are (-6,-7) and (5,4). Find its perimeter.

“Don’t worry,” said King Perimeter. “I can help you. Just follow me.”

King Perimeter led Billy on a tour of the Perimeter Kingdom. He showed Billy the Rectangle Palace, the Square Castle, the Triangle Tower, and the Circle Forest.

As they toured the kingdom, King Perimeter explained to Billy how perimeter works. He explained that perimeter is the total length of all the sides of a shape. He also explained how to use formulas to find the perimeter of different shapes.

Billy listened carefully to King Perimeter’s explanations. He began to understand the concept of perimeter much better.

“Thank you for helping me, King Perimeter,” said Billy. “I now understand the perimeter much better.”

“You’re welcome,” said King Perimeter. “Now go forth and share your knowledge with the world!”

Billy woke up from his dream and rushed to his homework. He was now able to complete his math homework with ease. He also helped his classmates to understand the perimeter.

Billy was grateful to King Perimeter for teaching him about perimeter. He knew that this important math concept would help him to succeed in math class and in life.
