Moonpreneur and Dottie Rose Foundation Come Together to Empower Girls

    |

With the vision of empowering girls and making them future-ready, Moonpreneur and the Dottie Rose Foundation have joined hands to teach six girls about futuristic technologies

Moonpreneur Inc., a Silicon Valley-based, educational-management start-up specializing in an entrepreneurial and innovation-centric program for children, is immensely humbled to inform its collaboration with Dottie Rose Foundation with the vision to empower girls and make them future-ready. The two visionaries have come together with the sole intention to connect the dots within the technology and computer science sphere to educate, support, and inspire the next generation.

While Moonpreneur’s vision is to educate children about futuristic technologies, entrepreneurial skills, and tap into their creative side, Dottie Rose Foundation thrives on creating a supportive algorithm to close the gender gap for females in the field of technology and computer sciences.

The collaboration between the two prescient thinkers intends to provide the opportunity for six young ladies to have access to the Moonpreneur. program for 7 months. The girls will have access to the curriculum provided by industry experts at Moonshot and accountability measures included with Dottie Rose Foundation. In addition, students

will be partnered with a mentor through the Dottie Rose Foundation organization for a local connection to the tech ecosystem.

At the end of their time in the program, there will be a showcase and presentation from each student and the product they created.

Commenting on the alliance, Alok Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of Moonpreneur said, “We, at Moonpreneur, are delighted with this collaboration. Bridging the gender gap and empowering girls by teaching them futuristic technologies is a step towards change and with this alliance, the change has already begun.”

Dr. Sharon Jones, Founder of Dottie Rose Foundation stated, “The power of the collaboration of our two companies together brings new opportunities for girls with the power of silicon valley and the passion of education. The Moonshot platform provides robust technical learning and experience while our mentorship and program experiences will bring their learning to life and impact our local community ”

    About Dottie Rose Foundation

Dottie Rose Foundation seeks to reignite the love of learning to enable and empower girls, who participate in its programs to understand how to leverage computer science skills to become makers, creators, and entrepreneurs in their future careers. Dr. Sharon Jones, founder and visionary of Dottie Rose, has a goal to overhaul the conversation around

technology and computer science to one that focuses less on the adoption of technology and more on integration. Because the percentage of women in tech is astronomically lower than men in tech, Sharon has focused her energy and passion to educate adolescent girls.
