How To Find Bamboo In Minecraft And It’s Best Uses

    |

    BambooSource: Minecraft

Minecraft keeps growing with new things to explore, and one such addition is bamboo. This unique plant, or you could call it a tree, arrived in the game’s 1.14 update, which made villages different. Bamboo can be grown tall, harvested with an axe, and it’s a bit of a special find.

But, let’s be honest, bamboo isn’t very common in most Minecraft worlds. And its uses are a bit specific. Still, there are ways it can really help players who are exploring and surviving in Minecraft. Let’s talk about where to find bamboo in the game and what it can be used for.

    Finding Bamboo

    Finding bamboo Source: Minecraft

Bamboo is only found in warm places, especially in jungle biomes. Sometimes, you might stumble upon bamboo in regular jungle biomes, where it pops up randomly here and there. But if you’re serious about getting bamboo, look for a special kind of jungle biome called the bamboo jungle. In these areas, bamboos grow super close together, making a dense forest of them. You’ll have no trouble finding and collecting lots of bamboo here.

You can also come across bamboo in certain structures you might find in jungle biomes. If you spot a jungle temple, make sure to check both of its chests for bamboo. And if there’s a shipwreck in a warm, jungle-like area, chances are good that you’ll find bamboo in the treasure chests there too.

If you’re hanging out in a jungle biome, you can try your luck at fishing for bamboo. But I’ll be honest, this isn’t the easiest way to get lots of bamboo. The good news is, once you get your hands on even just one piece of bamboo, you can plant it in soil like dirt, grass, or mud. And guess what? It grows really quickly into a tall plant. If things get tough and you can’t find bamboo any other way, you can also get it by defeating pandas.

    Best uses of bamboo

    1.  SCAFFOLDING

Minecraft got a cool addition in version 1.14 called scaffolding – part of the Village & Pillage Update. This thing makes building super easy. You need six bamboo and a bit of string to craft it. Place it down with a right-click, then keep stacking more on top by right-clicking the bottom one. But wait, it gets cooler. You can walk right through it, jump up and down like a ladder, and when you’re done, just remove the bottom block and the whole thing falls down. Easy to use and undo, just as I said. Now, when you’re done with your big project, what to do with all that scaffolding? Well, you can use it as fuel. In the Java Edition, each block smelts two items, and in the Bedrock Edition, it’s an impressive six items. So, it’s useful even after you’re done building.

    2. Bamboo Wood Set

Have you ever imagined creating a stunning bamboo structure? Well, guess what? Your dream is about to come true! In update 1.20, an entire collection of bamboo wood items has been launched. From stairs to mosaic blocks, and even a fresh new appearance for boats, we’ve got it all covered.

    Features

    1.  New foundational blocks for various Bamboo Wood types

    2. Crafting recipes for Bamboo Wood variations

    3. Bamboo Flooring block options

    4. Brand new Bamboo Raft designs, including one with a storage chest

    3. Bamboo Flower Pot

A lot of players are familiar with flower pots and how they’re used to show off nice flowers in a tidy way. But what some players might not realize is that bamboo can also go into these pots. This creates a special look that you won’t find anywhere else in the game.

    4. Bamboo as a Fuel

You can put bamboo in the fuel slot of the furnace, smoker, and blast furnace. But here’s the catch: bamboo burns really fast! Each bamboo can only cook a quarter of an item. So, if you want to fully cook some meat, you’ll need 4 bamboos. Just to give you an idea, 1 piece of coal can cook 8 items. And even a stick can cook half an item.

    Bamboo as a fuel

In conclusion, mastering the art of finding bamboo in Minecraft opens up a world of creative possibilities. From crafting intricate structures to utilizing its fuel potential, bamboo proves to be a versatile asset. Whether you’re decorating, exploring, or surviving, bamboo’s unique features offer a fresh dimension to your Minecraft experience. So go ahead and venture into the jungles, gather this valuable resource, and uncover the best ways to make it an integral part of your gameplay.
